We are living in an age of uncertainty, violence and unrest, and a possible threat of environmental disaster. These can bring fear and anxiety. Whilst yoga practice does not eradicate these aspects of 21st century living, it can help us to be more at peace and in harmony with ourselves so that we can cope better with what is happening in our work, relationships, family, leisure time.
A regular yoga practice – whether physical, breath work or meditation – brings us into balance. It helps to strengthen our physiology so that we are physically well-functioning. It helps to appease a busy mind and helps us to adapt our breathing to bring about harmony.
